NXTL provides a wide array of digital wireless communications services utilizing single transmission technology to customers throughout the U.S. For the six months ended 6/30/05, revenues rose 16% to $7.43B. Net income applicable to Common fell 42% to $1.11B. Revenues reflect higher service revenues due to an increase in the number of handsets in service. Net income was offset by the absence of a $26M gain on sale of investment.
